If you are new to the Math or Language programmes here is some information that will help you get started.
Communication:
This type of learning relies on easy communication between families and Notch Hill. We are constantly looking at ways to simplify communication and keep the process seamless. Your lesson feedback is invaluable, it enables us to fully customise your child’s plan and track progress. Here’s how we do it.
Lesson Plans: The quickest and easiest way for you to provide lesson feedback is to comment right on your child’s lesson plan. There are feedback boxes in the plan for you to use.
File upload: If you have a scanned file or a photo that you want to send us there are three ways to do it.
- Quickest! Use the Notch Hill app on your smart phone to snap a photo and upload it instantly to your files.
- Not quite as quick! Log on to the Notch Hill Portal on your computer, and upload your documents there.
- Google Docs: If you are accustomed to Google Docs, let us kow and we can set up a folder for you to upload to there.
- Email: If all else fails, you can email us the files. This is not our preferred option as the time we spend filing the document at this end takes us away from supporting kids. But, if you’re stuck – go for it. 🙂
Websites & Log-ins:
As a Virtual Mentoring family, you will have login access to three websites.
- This website – The Virtual Learning Centre: Login access to this website gives you access to all the lesson content.
- Notch Hill Portal – This website and smart phone app gives you access to your invoices and receipts, along with any secure documents that we share.
- Formative – This website enables us to progress monitor and track your child’s progress.
We will set these accounts up for you and send you the information in an email.
